Scott Duff & Co. founded in 1977

We were founded by Andrew Duff in 1977. It began with just one man in an office in Penrith but his vision and commitment propelled the firm to our present position within the legal profession and we are indebted to him for this. Andrew retired in 2015 and sadly passed away in 2018 leaving behind a well established and high regarded legal practice with 3 offices, 5 Directors and over 25 staff.

Andrew’s passing marks the end of an era for Scott Duff & Co but our company will continue to bear his name and we will continue to seek to uphold his commitment to the highest standards of client care that made him so popular with his clients over the years.

During his long and varied career Andrew dealt with many different areas of law but eventually specialized in clinical negligence work. This will now be carried on by our civil litigation team of Steven Marsh and Suzanne Connell so we can continue to offer this service to our clients and benefit from the specialism built up by Andrew.

We provide legal services throughout Cumbria from our offices in Carlisle, Penrith and Keswick. Our team aims to provide the highest quality of advice and service by combining specialist qualifications, experience and local knowledge with a straight forward approach.

We offer by prior arrangement out of hours appointments and home visits.
