Cheryl Christian appointed as member of Solicitors for the Elderly |
|
|
Cheryl Christian, one of the Directors of Scott Duff and Co, has recently been appointed as a member of Solicitors for the Elderly.
Solicitors for the Elderly (SFE) is an independent, national organisation of lawyers, such as solicitors, barristers, and legal executives who are committed to providing the highest quality of legal advice for older and vulnerable people, their families and carers.
SFE members have experience and specialise in a wide range of legal issues affecting elderly people. They have the knowledge that allows them to ignore the myths relating to ageing and the competence of elderly people. At the same time they will take into account and empathise with any difficulties, both mental and physical, which may accompany the ageing process. They are able to determine more easily between mental and physical disabilities and are more aware of social and health problems that arise as people age.
Not just any lawyer can be a member of SFE. Members must have spent a substantial amount of their time working for elderly clients and have to fulfil own criteria for membership.
To speak to Cheryl please call her on 01768-869503 or email cheryl@scottduff.co.uk

Certainty |

|
|
Scott Duff and Co have now become founder members of Certainty, the National Will Register.
We can now register your Will for you and if it was written with us prior to January 2011 it's FREE! After this date, if we prepare your Will for you we will include a FREE registration in our fee for drafting your Will.
Why should I register my Will?
If your Will is deemed lost or indeed never written your loved ones and benefactors are exposed to potential financial loss and obviously additional stress.
We hold your Will safely, but we digitally record its location on the Wills register so that benefactors can always locate it when the time comes.
It is a fact that the majority of people (67% in a recent survey) would not know where to locate parents' Wills. The passage of time, house moves, and new relationships are all contributing factors to this statistic.
How Do I Register?
Simply call, write or email us to request that we register your Will today!

Lexcel |

|
|
After a rigorous and independent assessment, the firm has been awarded the Lexcel Quality Mark by the Law Society. For our clients the key feature of Lexcel is our commitment to working in their best interests. The Lexcel standard ensures that we provide a personal service with regular communication and clear information on costs as well as good practical legal advice. Although the Lexcel Accreditation is the formal recognition of the way our firm is run, the real test is how our clients see us. We are delighted that the responses to our newly introduced client satisfaction survey include comments such as “a great firm to work with”, “very, very professional and efficient” and “friendly staff and an excellent service in a language that was understandable”.
